Trent Alumna Theresa Morris, Involved in a Peterborough Art Show

Trent alumna Theresa Morris will be showcasing a selection of her lino cut prints at the annual Peterborough Photography and Artist Prints Show and Sale this weekend. Her featured work will include her piece Doves in a Relaxed Pose.

"The subject of the print is gently simple,” says Morris. “Two doves: one dove is sleeping, the other standing by in a very relaxed manner. They appear to be completely unrushed and safe in their surroundings."

"For the viewer, resting the eyes on my image may give the gift of enjoying a small meditative moment in a busy stressful day," Morris stated about her work.

Reflecting on her time at Trent, she says "I loved [her time here] and I loved life in a small city. A few years after graduation, when jobs became available, we moved back and settled here. It is a wonderful place to raise children.”

The Photography and Artist Prints Show and Sale takes place this Sunday (January 24th) at the Kawartha Artists' Gallery and Studio, 420 O'Connell Rd., Peterborough.
